Description

Some did not like the wings breaking out of the frame in my last post Guarding the nest Guarding the Nest by Elite, GFXartist sponsor monjo so I thought I'd post this one too. Hope you enjoy it. The nest was located in the middle of the Betsie River on a protruding tree trunk. I took the shot while floating down the river.

Canon EOS 20D, ef 400mm 5.6L lens, Aperture priority 5.6 @1/2000 sec. ISO 200

I see you recropped this. I think I like the others composition better even though the wings were cut off. Great details on the wings. Lighting seems a bit harsh causing a bit of over-exposure to the nest and tree.

Kinda too similar to your last image John. Mix it up a little.

The wings are better in this one. :) Still see some noise and wish for more space to the right though. I've recently taken up bird watching/photography. So your posts are very inspiring.
